No, you cannot print your own eTRF. If you need to send your eTRF to an organisation, you can log in to the online portal and click \"Notify Institution\" -- add your organisation and send your official online results. If you require a hard copy of your TRF, please contact your test centre to inquire. Depending on the test centre, you may be able to request for a TRF hard copy to be posted to your address or picked up in-person. Please note that you must bring a photo ID to claim your TRF from the test centre, if this option applies. Please contact and check with your test centre for more details.

IELTS on computer: Test Types and Test Format

Test types

There are two types of tests available: IELTS Academic and General Training.

IELTS Academic assesses your English-language proficiency at an academic level and is used for higher education or professional registration.
IELTS General Training tests your every-day, non-academic English and is used for migration, work, or secondary studies. Unlike other English tests, IELTS General Training is the only non-academic test available for migration to Australia.

Test format

When you book your IELTS on computer, you will need to choose which format to take your Writing test in: on computer on on paper.

If you choose IELTS Writing on Computer: you will take your Listening, Reading, and Writing tests on computer. You will type your Writing test answers on computer using the keyboard.
If you choose IELTS Writing on Paper: you will take your Listening and Reading tests on computer, and complete your Writing test by handwriting your answers on the paper answer sheets provided.

For both options, the Speaking test remains as a conversation with the examiner.
